Sculpted and painted by hand by a team of artists working from photographs of real people, customized figurines represent the human form in miniature and whimsy. Customers can peruse the online boutique in five different languages before choosing their figurine’s body from a collection of more than 500 models divided into categories such as sports, work, fashion, wedding, and costume. While browsing, clients can picture themselves as a nurse, a fireman, an angel, a comic superhero, or a Canadian hockey player. After selecting a body sized 16–18 centimetres (59.90 $) or 28–30 centimetres (109.80 $), buyers upload a head shot of the person whose face they want to see on the figurine. Several customization options are available, including color of the base (7.90 $), bobble head (9.90 $), inscription on the base (9.90 $) or under the base (6.90 $), clothes color (9.90 $), and logo (7.90 $).

Pictures of the figurine are taken after each of the three steps of the creation process : sculpture, painting, and validation. Customers have 48 hours after viewing each picture to proof their statues and suggest modifications on the website (each modification will delay the shipping by up to a week). A fee of 9.90 $ allows clients to modify the figure as many times as they want.

1MiniMe ships the figurine upon receiving a final validation from the customer; no further change will be allowed. Clients receive their tiny doppelganger in a sturdy box complete with antistatic wrapping and a 100 per cent handmade certificate of authenticity.
